Joy Division movie premieres at Cannes (from May 18)

Slowly, the fog surrounding this movie has began to clear. For those not familiar with the project, Anton Corbijn is making a movie based on Curtis’s wife’s book.
What is known as that the soundtrack will contain covers. The Killers have recently been playing Shadow Play at their live gigs, and these are all over Youtube (example here, which is better than their earlier attempts). Media reports have varied over who else exactly has been approached and what will make the final soundtrack. Now there are reports that the cover album has been scrapped and we’re going to get remasters in the fall. There’s a Distillers cover of No Love Lost, I don’t know if it’s related to the project.
